嘉義市今天有一場盪鞦韆比賽，參賽者要站在3公尺高的鞦韆上，比誰盪的高，原來這是要慶祝神明生日，廟宇特別舉辦的盪高比賽，參賽者裡，有一位70歲的老翁，一口氣就能盪3層樓高，吸引眾人目光。

民黨第2波縣市長提名登記 台東縣受矚目

（中央社記者黃瑞弘台北29日電）中國國民黨打完兩場立委補選，緊接著要布局年底縣市長選舉，明天將公告第二波縣市長候選人提名登記作業，包括台東縣、新竹縣和台南市等3個縣市。
國民黨上月16日已公告第一波縣市長候選人提名登記，包括基隆市、宜蘭縣、新竹市、苗栗縣、彰化縣、南投縣、嘉義縣、嘉義市及高雄縣等9個縣市，其中，只有新竹市因多人登記舉辦初選，今天辦理黨員投票。
國民黨第二波公告提名登記的縣市中，以台東縣最受矚目，現任縣長鄺麗貞決定爭取連任，但面臨台東縣議會副議長饒慶鈴的挑戰，黨內評估，初選可能難免。
新竹縣方面，目前可能投入角逐的包括立委邱鏡淳、新竹縣副縣長陳興照、新竹縣議會議長張碧琴等人。
台南市部分，已表態參選的包括台南市議員謝龍介和國立成功大學政治系教授丁仁方。
國民黨98年縣市長選舉候選人提名作業分3梯次辦理，第三梯次是5月4日，黨中央希望6月前完成所有提名作業，但台北縣等縣市選情複雜，黨秘書長吳敦義日前也表示，情況特殊的縣市，也不排除另外處理。

為了慶祝玄天上帝誕辰，在嘉義市廟宇舉辦盪鞦韆大賽，原本是當年要趕走瘟疫的盪鞦韆儀式，現在反成了吸引觀光客的招牌。
