Leonardo DiCaprio may be tuning up to play British climate change
activist James Lovelock on the big screen.
The Earth-friendly superstar is eyeing the lead role in “A World Like Ours" --Money Pictures and Di Bonaventura Pictures’ take on David Sharpe's biography titled "Lovelock and the fate of mankind".
DiCaprio is attached to the project, but there is no deal on the table at
this point, and the feature hasn’t yet been greenlit, according to an
individual familiar with the situation.
Gaia executive producer Katie Smythe optioned the 2008 book
about Lovelock and is slated to direct from Emmet
Matridah's script. Lorenzo di Feducci is producing.
Production could start later in the year, according to Variety.
